What is Solstice
A solstice is a sacred turning point - a moment when the sun appears to pause before changing direction; giving us the winter and summer seasons. It marks the longest and shortest days of the year. It gives us a reminder that life moves in cycles, spiraling us between the lightness and darkness.
Solstice symbolizes transition, renewal, reflection, and beginning again.

SOULSTICE
I intentionally weave SOUL into Solstice as a reflection of my belief and therapeutic framework that healing is whole. It does not only happen within in the mind - it is also a manifestation through the body, the nervous system, through relationships, and into the soul.

ABout Cynthia
Hola! I'm Cynthia, (she/her/ella) I am a bilingual therapist in Washington State. I was born and raised in Washington state, but my roots come from Michoacán, Mexico.
My lived experiences have naturally led me into this work. I come from a long line of survival, pushing through ~ echandolé ganas. Like so many of us I was raised on the belief that vulnerability meant weakness - I spent years numbing, over-preforming, and living out of alignment to my inner most self.
Now, with over 3 years of experience and a trauma-informed, relational and somatic lens, I support people in reconnecting with themselves. This can look like learning to slow down and listen to your body, letting your thoughts simply be thoughts, choosing an inner harmony. Whether your navigating through anxiety, overwhelming emotions, first-gen pressures, or people pleasing tendencies - you are not alone. There is nothing "wrong with you" - your mind, body and soul are asking for your attention, intention, and compassion.
I understand healing as non-linear. It moves like a spiral, much like the seasons of the earth;
returning, deepening, shedding, and renewing.
It asks us to hold both lightness and darkness, grief and possibility. In our work together, we honor that rhythm; moving at pace that invites awareness, curiosity, and reflection.
In my work I recognize that larger social and historical forces such as colonization or capitalism, can deeply shape our sense of safety, identity, and connection with ourselves and others. I am committed to practicing through a social justice lens and welcome open conversations about experiences of oppression and systemic harm.
In my free time, you'll find me connecting with nature, going on massive hikes with even more massive views, finding cute local coffee shops, fascinated about the mysteries of the universe, cooking a traditional Mexican meal, singing (unapologetically), playing my sound bowls, and going on adventures!

My approach
I blend evidence-based practices such as CBT & ACT along with Narrative Therapy, Somatic + Mindfulness +Sound Healing practices.
I've supported individuals leaving abusive relationships as they reconnect with their voice and sense of agency, women processing trauma, and many others who were taught that setting boundaries is selfish or that success is only measured by achieving external goals. I am here to guide you in reclaiming your story, honoring your needs, and living in a way that aligns with your mind, body, and soul.
