What is Solstice
A solstice is a sacred turning point - a moment when the sun appears to pause before changing direction; giving us the winter and summer seasons. It marks the longest and shortest days of the year. It gives us a reminder that life moves in cycles, spiraling us between the lightness and darkness.
Across cultures and generations, our ancestors honored this cycle — as a sacred threshold in the rhythm of life. Solstice symbolizes transition, renewal, reflection, and beginning again.

SOULSTICE
I intentionally weave SOUL into Solstice as a reflection of my belief and therapeutic framework that healing is whole. It does not only happen within in the mind - it is also a manifestation through the body, the nervous system, through relationships, and into the soul.
ABout Cynthia
Hola! My name is Cynthia, she/her/ella. I am a clincal social worker and therapist in Washington State offering trauma-informed services to individuals. I was born and raised in Washington state, but my roots come from Michoacán, Mexico.
For me, healing work began long before I earned a degree. I come from a long line of surviving, pushing through ~ echándole ganas. There came a point where my own mind, body, and soul asked for something different — for attention, intention, and compassion. That turning point shaped not only my personal journey, but the way I sit with others in their healing.
I understand healing as non-linear. It moves like a spiral, like the seasons of the earth — returning, deepening, shedding, and renewing. It asks us to hold both lightness and darkness, grief and possibility. In our work together, we honor that rhythm.
I recognize the ways colonization, capitalism, and intergenerational trauma impact our sense of safety, identity, and connection — to ourselves and to one another. I also believe part of this work requires me to remain teachable — committed to ongoing learning and unlearning, accountability, and humility in the room.
In my free time, I enjoy connecting with nature, mindful movement, going on massive hikes with even more massive views, finding cute local coffee shops, learning, a good phone call with loved one, cooking a traditional Mexican meal, singing (unapologetically), playing my sound bowls, and going on adventures!
My approach
I use a trauma-informed, holistic, and relational approach. I believe that establishing trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship is essential for delving into the depths healing. I encourage collaboration, vulnerability, and authenticity in the therapy space to help guide and support you in achieving your desired goals.
I frequently incorporate relational therapy, mindfulness practices, CBT techniques, narrative therapy, somatic therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
